Arrival Time

Please plan to arrive at Pace University in Pleasantville, New York between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM on Friday, May 22 to allow time to register and arrange for your dormitory assignments

By Car

Pace University is located at 861 Bedford Road in Pleasantville, NY. Pace Unbiversity may be reached by either the Saw Mill or Taconic Parkways. Please use Entrance 3 to the Pace University Campus to reach the residence halls and student center. By Public Transportation

By Train to Pleasantville –The MetroNorth train from Grand Central Station Is the only train that goes to Pleasantville. Be sure to take a train on the Harlem line that ends at Southeast of Wassaic. Trains that end in North White Plains do not go far enough. The train takes about 55 minutes and costs about $15.00.  
(Please buy train tickets before you board the train to avoid a large surcharge.)

Pace University Shuttle – In Pleasantville, the Pace University shuttle van leaves from the corner of Bedford Road and Memorial Plaza every half hour.

By Interstate Bus or Train –You may decide to take a bus (good prices and good ecology) to travel to the Port Authority Terminal in NYC,  (42nd Street and 8th Avenue) or the curbside drop-offs by budget lines near 10th/11th Ave & 36th St.  Once there, on the West Side, you will need to make your way to Grand Central Train Station on the East Side at 42nd Street and Park Avenue. You can get there by taxi or cross town subway shuttle.

Amtrak and NJ trains arrive at Penn Station on the West Side of Manhattan.  You will need to get to Grand Central Train Station on the East Side at 42nd Street and Park Avenue by a short taxi ride.
Transfer can be cab, Uber/Lyft or walking (1 to 1.5 miles.)

By Westchester Bus – The Westchester Bee Line Bus, Route 6 goes from Yonkers to White Plains and Memorial Plaza in Pleasantville. This connects to the Pace shuttle.

By Air

Please provide information about your flight schedule when you register for the conference including the airport, airline, flight #, arrival and departure times. If you book your flight or change your flight after you register, please send an e-mail with flight information to our Transportation Coordinator, Mary Watson-Stribula at [email protected], Please provide this ihnformation at least 10 days before your arrival.

White Plains/Westchester Airport (HPN).
We recommend the White Plains airport that is only 13 miles and 20 minutes from Pace University in Pleasantville. The White Plains airport is served by American, Delta, United and Jet Blue Airlines.

The air fares may be somewhat higher at White Plains airport but the time and convenience of ground transportation to Pace University may make up the additional air fare to White Plains. Please book early to get the best fares.  

The AVP Shuttle Service will operate from the White Plains Airport to Pace University. The shuttle will operate on an approximately hourly basis on Friday, May 22 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and at 10:30 PM and midnight if needed. On Monday, May 25 the shuttle will operate from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Please book your arrivals and departures within this schedule if possible. When you arrive, please make a donation to your driver to help pay for the gas.

Other Airports – If you plan to use any other airport (LaGuardia, JFK, or Newark), we encourage you to use bus service to Grand Central Station in Manhattan and the Harlem train service from there to Pleasantville NY. Estimating costs for Uber and Lyft is challenging. Definitely greater than $50 and could be $150 on a high road traffic holiday weekend.  

LaGuardia Airport (LGA).
LaGuardia is 32 miles from Pace University and more than an hour by Uber or Lyft. (More than $50.00) It is about two hours by public transportation using the bus ($16.00) to Grand Central Station or a NYC bus to the 125th Street Station (Check with the ground transportation desk for details.) Then take the train from Grans Central Station ($15.00) to Pleasantville.

There is ongoing construction of terminals and access roads at LaGuardia that may lead to some delays.

JFK Airport (JFK)
JFK is 61 miles from Pace University and more than an hour by Uber or Lyft. (Definitely more than $60.00)  It is more than two hours by public transportation using the bus ($19.00) to Grand Central Station and the train ($15.00) to Pleasantville. There is also an AirTrain that goes to Jamaica Queens and then a subway from Queens to Grand Central Station but this is not recommended with luggage during rush hour. (Check with the ground transportation desk for details.)

Newark Airport (EWR)
Newark is 76 miles from Pace University and about two hours Uber or Lyft. (Definitely more than $75.00)  It is more than two hours by public transportation. There is an Airport Express bus ($17.00) to Grand Central Station and the train ($15.00) to Pleasantville, (Check with the ground transportation desk for details.)
